Russia leads in Georgian watermelon and melon imports

Russia was the top buyer of Georgian watermelons and melons in July 2026, accounting for nearly 73% of total export revenue, according to media reports.

A total of 1,339 tonnes of melons worth over $770,000 were exported to Russia. 

It should be noted that, compared to the same period last year, watermelon and melon exports from Georgia to Russia doubled.

Armenia ranked second with $259,000 worth of melons, followed by Belarus with over $32,000.
