Iran intends to take part in 81st UN General Assembly

Iran plans to participate in the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, assuming the United States fulfills its obligations and issues entry visas to the Iranian delegation in a timely manner, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said.

"According to plans, we are set to take part in this meeting provided that the host country fulfills its obligations and issues entry visas in a timely manner in line with agreements reached," Baghaei said.

The Iranian diplomat noted that Tehran intended to clarify Iran's position on pressing issues at the UN General Assembly meeting.
