Iran has eased restrictions on exporters, allowing them to return proceeds using cryptocurrencies such as Tether and Bitcoin, the Financial Times reported.

Exporters can now use Iranian crypto exchanges for international settlements, sell currency on the open market at real rates, and use export proceeds directly to pay for imports.

The central bank no longer requires exporters to report how funds were returned. The measures come amid tightening sanctions.
