US restricts Iranian delegation at UN General Assembly

The US has imposed restrictions on Iran's delegation to the UN General Assembly in New York, barring officials from wholesale markets and luxury goods stores, State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott said.

Similar measures were introduced in 2025.

Washington had earlier approved visas for President Masoud Pezeshkian, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and technical staff.
