US deploys 12 fighter jets to Middle East

The USA has strengthened its Middle East air grouping with a squadron of 12 F‑16 fighter jets, the Itamilradar portal reported.

The aircraft were redeployed from Germany. However, it remains unclear whether this is a build‑up or a rotation as seen in August.

US combat aircraft are stationed at bases in Jordan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. The US command in the region has around 200 fighters of all types and 30 A‑10 attack aircraft.
