Russia increases cheese exports to Georgia by over 40 percent

Russian cheese shipments to Georgia rose 43% year‑on‑year in August, reaching $504,000.

Sales included $284,000 worth of fresh cheeses and cottage cheese and $221,000 worth of processed cheese.

Russia ranked fourth among Georgia's main cheese suppliers by August volume. Türkiye led with $535,000, followed by Poland ($532,000) and Italy ($525,000).

In the first eight months of 2026, Russia exported $3.7 million worth of cheese to Georgia, which is 23% more than in the same period last year.
