Trump leaves door open for strike on Iran before Congressional elections

US President Donald Trump has not ruled out resuming strikes on Iran before the November midterm congressional elections, telling Fox News: "It's possible".

The Wall Street Journal had earlier reported that Trump intended to resume strikes after the elections. He recently said he expects new talks with Iran this week.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed readiness for dialogue with the US earlier this week, while stressing that Tehran does not accept the language of force.
