French ambassador to Georgia concludes diplomatic mission
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe French Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Georgia, Eric Furnier, will conclude his diplomatic mission on October 20, Georgia Online reports.
In his parting speech he recalled the events of the 7th of November 2007, the crackdown on protesters at the Imedi TV company at Tbilisi center, the conflict of August 2008 and the arrival of the EU Monitoring Mission.
The ambassador talked about his excursions in Georgia and friends.
Eric Furnier became an honoured citizen of Sachkhere (Imereti Region), an area near the Tskhinvali zone of the Russian-Georgian conflict, in 2009. He received an award during the war in August 2008.
