Russian and U.S. companies, along with the energy ministries of both nations, are already in talks regarding the supply of Russian diesel fuel, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said.

In accordance with the agreements reached between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump, the government promptly issued a directive partially lifting the ban on diesel fuel exports, allowing its supply to global markets, including the U.S. The relevant sanctions that were previously in place have been waived by our American counterparts for a six-month period.

"Today, negotiations are already underway between our companies and buyers of Russian commodities, as well as between the Russian Ministry of Energy and the U.S. Department of Energy," Novak said.

On October 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump held a telephone conversation during which they discussed, among other topics, the supply of petroleum products. The Russian leader stated that Moscow had confirmed its readiness to supply oil and petroleum products to both the U.S. and global markets.
