Yemeni government reports gains in conflict with Houthis

Forces loyal to Yemen's internationally recognised government have recaptured several districts in Taiz Governorate from the Ansar Allah movement, according to Al Jazeera, citing sources.

The Yemeni military has taken control of the locality of Sanamat and advanced toward Al‑Misrakh, south of Taiz city.

Taiz is Yemen's third‑largest city and a hub for key transport routes to Aden, where the recognised government is based. The capital, Sanaa, remains under Houthi control.
