New direct flights launched from Kazakhstan to Oman

Air Astana has launched direct flights from Astana to Salalah, Oman's second‑largest city, according to Kazakhstan's Civil Aviation Committee.

The inaugural flight took place today, ahead of Republic Day, carrying 140 passengers. A separate inaugural flight from Almaty to Salalah was operated the day before.

Both routes are served by Airbus A320 aircraft.

SalamAir also operates flights between Kazakhstan and Oman, connecting Almaty with Muscat.
