Grozny marks 193rd anniversary

Grozny is marking its 193rd anniversary. It will host a show of Russian and foreign stars and acrobats, RIA Novosti reports.

The anniversary will include the opening of the Republican Clinical Hospital, the renovated Avenue of Ahmad Kadyrov and the opening of the first skyscraper complex - Grozny City.

Vanessa-Mae, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Russian celebrities Dmitry Khvorostovsky, Joseph Kobzon and Jean Ruven with his Magic Show are highlights for the anniversary.

Grozny City is located on the bank of the River Sunzha.

Over a thousand guests are expected to arrive. Many were accommodated at the 30-storey five-star hotel. The rooms cost from 6,000 to 40,000 rubles. There are a total of 300 rooms. The top floor has a restaurant with a glass dome.

A laser show will conclude the celebrations. The federal channel “Russia” will broadcast the celebrations.
