Russia's Ulyanov dismisses talk of Russia's isolation as wishful thinking

All the talk of Russia's isolation on the world political stage is nothing more than an attempt to pass off wishful thinking as reality, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the Vienna-based international organizations Mikhail Ulyanov said, commenting on the recent Russia-Africa summit, which was attended by 48 out of 54 African Union countries.

"The isolation of Russia is nothing more than the West’s wishful thinking," Mikhail Ulyanov said.

According to him, 12% of the world’s population can not isolate the largest country , which has so many friends around the world, including in Western countries.

The third Russia-Africa summit ended in Moscow on October 3. It was attended by 48 African delegations, including 22 heads of state. The previous two summit were held in St. Petersburg in the summer of 2023, and in Sochi in the fall of 2019.
