The Iranian authorities continue to exchange messages with the U.S. through intermediaries; the basis for the negotiations remains the seven-day plan previously proposed by Tehran and fleshed out in detail, Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said, commenting on the recent visit by Iran’s deputy foreign minister to Qatar.

"Negotiations are ongoing. In any case, the issue is complex - or, more precisely, there are many complex issues - and the passage of time and the actions of the U.S. have only added to their complexity. In our opinion, the exchange of messages continues to this day," Esmaeil Baghaei said.

He emphasized that the seven-day plan previously proposed by Tehran remains the basis for all negotiations and consultations between Iran and the U.S., conducted through intermediaries. This plan can be fully implemented within two days, the diplomat pointed out.

The diplomat also said that the issue of transferring uranium enriched to 60% from Iran to third countries was not discussed during the exchange of messages with the U.S.
