Khamenei instructs government to resolve conflict with US peacefully

Iran’s Supreme Leader has directed the government to resolve the conflict with the United States through dialogue. Previously, the Iranian Foreign Ministry indicated that the US would also choose this path.

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has instructed the government to settle the conflict with the United States through dialogue. Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian said this on November 2. 

"We seek to resolve the issue through dialogue. The Supreme Leader has granted the government certain powers to this end,”

– the Iranian president said. 

He also noted that Iran must overcome challenges and crises through unity and cooperation.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed hope that the US would seek to resolve the conflict peacefully. At the same time, he stressed that Iran remains prepared for a potential resumption of hostilities.
