Central Bank of Armenia raises refinancing rate

The board of the Central Bank of Armenia decided to raise the refinancing rate by 0.25 percentage points (pp) to 7% per annum at its meeting on Tuesday, the regulator said.

On September 15, the Central Bank also raised the rate by 0.25 pp to 6.75% per annum.

The 6.5% rate had been in effect since December 16, 2025, when it was lowered by 0.25 points.

Inflation in Armenia was 3.3% last year. In October 2026, annual inflation in the country reached 4.1%.
