Georgian billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili may run for president

Georgian billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili will establish a political party to take part in the coming parliamentary elections, the businessman said today.

Ivanishvili is expected to make a detailed statement on October 7th.

The billionaire criticizes President Mikheil Saakashvili and the current political situation in Georgia. According to Georgy Kalatozishvili, VK correpospondent in Tbilisi, the decision to establish a political party was probably made as a part of the strategy aimed at making Ivanishvili president.

Ivanishvili is one of the 100 reachest people in Georgia.
