Azerbaijan discusses nuclear power plant construction in Armenia

Azerbaijan might agree to build a new nuclear reactor in Armenia, the director of the Institute of Radiation Problems of ANAS, Adil Garibov, said today, Trend reports.

Armenia will have to develop a project assessing the possible impact of the
reactor on the environment and to present the project to Azerbaijan before
Azerbaijan takes the decision to agree to the reactor being built.

Armenia will also have to inform the Azerbaijani side about certain aspects
of the reactor's work, particularly the role of water in the work of the
station.
