Armed confrontation resumed in Libyan capital

Several dozen armed supporters of ousted Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi have
initiated a battle with the forces of the Transitional National Council
(PNC) in the streets of Tripoli, RIA Novosti reports, with reference to the
Reuters news agency.

As reported by eyewitnesses, on Friday a group of people chanted slogans in
support of the leader of the Libyan Jamahiriya in the capital's Abu Salim
quarter.

After some time, trucks with soldiers of the PNC initiated gunfire with
supporters of Gaddafi.
