Azerbaijan protects Caspian ecology

Azerbaijan is protecting the environment of the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Halaf Halafov said, Trend reports.

This includes protection and breeding of sturgeons, development of new legal documents for environmental protection.

Talks on ecology with Caspian states have been held, a frame convention was signed, as well as protocols to activate the process. Azerbaijan has national programs for ecology of the sea. Azerbaijan is a member of the SITES Convention, APA reports.
