US senators offer to increase forces in Georgia

The US plans offer more active work with its allies to enforce security and fulfillment of the cease-fire agreements with Abkhazia and South Ossetia, where additional Russian troops are situated.
Senators recommend Georgia to be aided more in joining NATO and increasing US presence in Georgia. US forces are to increase the defensive potential.
US officials need to normalize cooperation with Georgia in the military sphere, including construction of defense structures and preparation of special forces.
The report recommends more active work with the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM). The mission is respected by all sides of the process, including Russia, and may provide more clarity in the occupied territories.
