Turkey carries out operations in five districts of Northern Iraq

Turkey has started a mass operation in Northern Iraq in five district with 22 battalions involved, RIA Novosti reports.

The ground operation against terrorist of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) was organized in response for murder of 24 and injury of 18 Turkish servicemen in Hakkyari Province near Iraq on October 19.
Kurdish militants were pursued 3-4 km beyond. Air forces and artillery attacked their bases.
