Azerbaijan to study investment opportunities in North Caucasus

An Azerbaijani delegation headed by the minister for economic development will visit the North Caucasus to study investment opportunities, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at a council for socio-economic development for the third quarter of 2011, ITAR-TASS reports.

Both Russia and Azerbaijan are interested in investments in the North Caucasus, the president underlined. It is a new aspect of Russian-Azerbaijani economic ties and will contribute to the economic development of the region.
