Tbilisi population supports Ivanishvili with cash

Citizens of Tbilisi are opening accounts at billionaire Bidzine Ivanishvili’s Bank Kartu, Georgia Online reports.

The population of Tbilisi want to demonstrate support for the businessman and his financial structure because some believe he is pressurized by the authorities.

The leader of the Protect Georgia organization, poet David Magradze, urged people to support Bank Kartu on the Caucasia TV Channel. The Director General of the bank, Nodar Javakhishvili, says the sums people bring to the bank are of no importance, what matters is public support.

Bidzine Ivanishvili wants to take part in the parliamentary polls in 2012. His supporters have posted numerous reports on pressure from the government.
