The Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, a founder of the International Dialogue Initiative for Environmental Action IDEA, Leyla Aliyeva, is on a visit to New York at the invitation of the Children's Cancer and Blood Fund (CCBF) in the USA. November the 1st saw the opening of the annual charity meeting, at which Leyla Aliyeva, as an active participant in humanitarian projects relating to children, was awarded the honorary award "Key to Life", Trend reports.

The chairman of the CCBF, Les Lieberman, noted the activities of Leyla Aliyeva in the areas of social life, youth, environment and other important spheres, as well as her work on improving living conditions of orphans not only in Azerbaijan but also throughout the world. She is a vice president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, one of the largest and leading non-governmental organizations engaged in a number of important educational and charitable projects. Leyla Aliyeva is also the founder of IDEA and the founder and chief editor of the Baku journal.
