Armed forces of the UK are preparing plans for a possible attack on Iran, based on the rising threats from the Iranian nuclear program. The US and its allies believe that Iran is trying to obtain nuclear arms and would not allow that to happen, ITAR-TASS reports.

The plans include sending British warships and submarines with Tomahawk missiles near Iran. Aviation would also be mobilized. No ground operations are planned, although special troops may be deployed.

US special services found out that Iran had started transporting its centrifuges for uranium enrichment to underground bunkers at a mountain near the military base at Kum City. Experts say the centrifuges will be impossible to destroy with missiles in the bunkers.

A British spokesman said that in 12 months the centrifuges may become safe.

RIA Novosti says that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to persuade the Cabinet to support decisions on attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities. Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak support the operation but lack teh support of the majority in the Cabinet. Israeli special services and Mossad are against attacks on Iran.

Any attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities will depend on Israeli ministers. Associated Press reminds that Israeli air forces stopped the nuclear project of Iraq in 1981 by bombing the Ozirak nuclear reactor, approved by the Cabinet.
