Protests grow in Kiev
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaProtests in Kiev are not ending. Protesters have organized a column moving from the government building to the presidential administration of Ukraine, RIA Novosti reports.
About 300 people are protesting, some of whom are from the Vperyod (Forward) Public Movement.
The protests started at the parliament building. They demanded social benefits to be left in place. They broke down a two-meter metal barrier and broke into the parliament. They were stopped by the Bekrut Special Forces. The police forced them out.
Then the protesters headed to the government building with demands for Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov to resign. No incidents happened at the scene.
About a thousand people who had participated in clearing the Chernobyl power plant broke ten sections of the metal barrier at the parliament on Tuesday. They wanted to freeze bill N9127 on the lifting of benefits.
