Makhachkala hosts session of Caspian Association of Universities

Dagestani State University is hosting a session of the XIV General
Assembly of the Association of Caspian region Universities, reports
RIA Dagestan. Today at a special ceremony, the Dagestani State
University will be granted leadership of the organization for the next
five years.
Within the framework of the Association, various activities are
carried out: student Olympics, seminars, and conferences aimed at
establishing closer ties between the universities of the region.
The Association was established in 1996 with its head office located
in Astrakhan State Technological University. The Association unites
scientific and research work in various spheres: sociology, ecology,
culture, politics and so on.
Currently there are 46 member-universities in the Association, which
represent all five states of the Caspian region.
