Georgia signs deals with Norway
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaGeorgia and Norway today signed two intergovernmental agreements
on avoiding double taxation and the readmission of illegal migrants,
reports Georgia Online.
The signing of agreements took place in the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
As stated after the meeting Store the Foreign Ministers of both
countries, Grigol Vashadze and Jonas Gahr Store they discussed issues
of bilateral relations.
"We supported the development of our relations, mainly in the economic
sphere," Vashadze said, noting that his colleague has provided
detailed information about the talks with Russia on the WTO and the
agreement signed under the mediation of Switzerland. Georgian Foreign
Minister welcomed the Norwegian investments in the energy sector of
Georgia, which is reflected in the construction of several
hydroelectric power plants.
In his turn, Gahr Store welcomed the successful reforms in Georgia.
"We are particularly pleased to implement the reforms in the economic,
political and judicial spheres, which points to the obvious progress
in NATO," he said. Norwegian Foreign Minister reiterated the
commitment of Norway to the territorial integrity of Georgia and its
sovereignty
