Kazakhstan is ready to repel any manifestation of terrorism - President Nursultan Nazarbayev

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said that the country is ready to repel any manifestation of terrorism, RIA Novosti quotes the presidential press service.

On Monday President Nazarbayev chaired a meeting on the fight against religious extremism and terrorism, the press service informs.

Nazarbayev opened the meeting by talking about the events which took place last Saturday in the city of Taraz, where a series of particularly serious crimes took place. The offender committed an armed assault on law enforcement personnel, killing two members of the National Security Committee, three police officers and two civilians.

Nazarbayev said that terrorism takes place in many countries around the world and that Kazakhstan is capable of repelling any manifestation of terrorism.
