EU calls on Russia to withdraw its forces from Abkhazia and South Ossetia

On November 17th the European Parliament approved the report by Lisek Krzysztof, in which the Polish politician suggests that the European Union and Georgia should establish an association, Echo of Moscow radio reports.

In the adopted document the EU lawmakers admitted that they respect Georgia's territorial integrity and urge Russia to withdraw its forces from Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

It's the first such document to be officially adopted by the European Parliament.
