Azerbaijan able to guarantee safety in work on Caspian oil fields - Azerbaijani Emergencies Ministry

The Azerbaijani Ministry for Emergencies has all the necessary means for prevention of accidents during the development of the Caspian oil fields, Deputy Minister for Emergencies Faig Tagizade said at a conference entitled "Industrial security of the fuel and energy complex. Oil spills on the sea and ground" in Baku on Monday.

Azerbaijan has 7 pipelines for transport of oil and gas. The Emergencies Ministry has 11 vessels, seven of which are meant for fire-fighting, to take immediate measures. The ministry also has amphibian planes and helicopters.

The minister added that they are actively cooperation with Kazakhstan and Russia. They are forming a reaction system for emergency situations on the Caspian Sea together.
