Russia hits out against new Iran sanctions

Russia says that the new unilateral sanctions of the US against Iran are inappropriate and violate international law, Interfax reports.

The sanctions affect companies of third states working in the oil and refining spheres and banking, spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said.

Such actions complicate constructive dialogue with Iran. Tehran would not show more readiness for dialogue as a result of the sanctions, it added. It aso said the the constant hardening of sanctions has gone beyond the framework of the non-proliferation aspect of the Iranian nuclear program.
