Azerbaijani tax minister presents budget project for 2012
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe Azerbaijani Parliament will hold a new session on the budget project for 2012. Tax Minister Fazil mamedov said that Azerbaijan has only 0.8% people unemployed among the employable population by November 1, 1news.az reports.
Income of the population in the first 10 months increased by 19%, deposits – 29.5%. The influent in 2007 was 37.5%, in 2011 – 50.7%. The ratio of taxing was 14.4% in total income, compared with 2-3% in 2007. Taxing increased by 16.5% in the first 10 months of 2011. The minister expects tax income of 5.31 billion manats and 3.18 billion manats from the non-oil sphere. 81.3% will be provided by the Ministry for Taxes. Together with social taxes the sums will make 21.5% (17.9% without social payments).
Azerbaijan will spend some 800 million manats to increase wages in 2012. It is preferable to avoid major increase of wages so as not to cause problems in 3-5 years, Finances Minister Samir Sharifov says.
The minimal living wage for Azerbaijan in 2012 will be increased from the current 95 to 108 manats, including a rise from 102 to 116 manats - for the working-age population, from 72 to 84 manats - for pensioners and from 76 to 87 manats - for children. In 2013, the projected increase in the minimum subsistence level in Azerbaijan to 120.2 manats, in 2014 - 127.7 manats, in 2015 - 135.1 manats. In addition, the projected increase in the minimum subsistence level for able-bodied population in 2013 to 130 manats, in 2014 - 138 manats, in 2015 - 146 manats, for pensioners - to 101 manats in 2013, to 107 manats - in 2014, to 114 manats - in 2015, for children - 99 manats in 2013, to 106 manats - in 2014, up to 112 manats - in 2015.
The minimum wage in 2012 will be increased to 93.5 manatscompared with 85 manats in 2010 and. In 2013, this figure is projected to increase to 120.2 manats, in 2014 - up to 127.7 manats, in 2015 - up to 140 manats.
Prior to 2015, there are no expection to change the minimum amount of scholarships for doctoral students and students. In the next four years, it remains at 30 manats.
The dollar is worth 0.7865 manats, according to the currency level on November 24.
