South Osseti opposition to inaugurate Djioeva on December, 10

The supporters of the South Osseti ex-presidential candidate Alla Djioeva insisting that she had won the presidentials intend to hold an unofficial inauguration of Djioeva on December,10, RIA Novosti reports. The organizers of the event hope to gather some 17,000 people.

The head of Djioeva’s headquarters, Mikhail Khanikaev, said that the people should stand up of their duly elected candidate despite all obstacles put by the government.

Current situation in South Ossetia is due to the decision of the Supreme Court that denounced the results of the presidential election and forbade Alla Djioeva, who claims to have won the elections with 16% advantage over her rival, to participate in the new round of presidentials scheduled for March, 25, as Djioeva allegedly committed election fraud. In her turn Djioeva refused to comply with the Court’s decision and proclaimed herself duly elected President of South Ossetia.
