Syria suspends free trade deal with Turkey

Syria has suspended the free trade deal signed with Turkey in 2004. The tax on Turkish construction materials will be 30%. All Turkish freighters will pay the tax in euros.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry said that contacts with the League of Arab States on monitoring organizations continue.

Reports say that 35 people died in protests at the end of last week.
