Kozak, Khloponin to report on decentralization of power today

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will hear the reports of the heads of two working groups on the decentralization of power. The reports will be presented by Dmitry Kozak, Vice Premier, and Alexander Khloponin, Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the North Caucasian Federal District and Vice Premier, Interfax reports.

The president ordered them to draw up new approaches to the distribution of power between different levels of authority by December 1. Kozak will stress the legal issues, Khloponin – the financial.

Medvedev noted that the reports will be the basis for decisions on financing regions.
