Sokurov’s “Faust” to be shown at Tbilisi International Cinema Festival
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe 12th Tbilisi International Cinema Festival will be hosted by the Amirani Cinema Theater on December 6-11. It will open with demonstration of Sokurov’s new film “Faust”, News Georgia reports.
The festival will see US, European and Georgian films, including works of Leo Karaks, Francois Ozon, Roy Andersson, Liv Ulman,Francis Ford Coppola and others.
Directors will arrive from Estonia, Italy, France, Sweden, Australia, Germany, USA, Czech Republic, Israel and other states.
The film festival first started in 2000. It was organized by the Center of Cinema Art “Prometheus”, supported by the mayor’s office of Tbilisi, the US and Swiss embassies in Georgia, the National Center for Cinematography of Georgia, the Goethe Institute, the British Council, the French Institute in Tbilisi.
