Georgia named NATO associate member

Georgia has been officially named a NATO associate member, Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for European and Atlantic Integration Georgy Baramidze said today, RIA Novosti reports.

Georgia is now considered a NATO associate member as well as the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzogovina, and Montenegro.
