Moody’s to reduce rating of 15 EU states

The EU summit in Brussels on December 8-9 failed to convince international agencies of the efficiency of European measures to fight the economic crisis. Moody’s has announced its readiness to reconsider ratings, such as Standard & Poor’s, in the first quarter of 2012.


Last week, Standard & Poor’s announced a possible reduction of the ratings of 15 EU states of the eurozone, including the ratings of Germany, France, the Netherlands, Finland and Austria, which currently have the AAA rating and “stable” forecasts.
