Azerbaijan has positive balance of $14.6 billion in foreign trade
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaAzerbaijan had a trade turnover of $29.8 billion with 147 states in January-October 2011, exceeding the figures in the same period of 2010 by 9%, 1news.az reports.
Trade turnover with CIS states increased by 34%, other states – by 6.8%. In the structure of trade turnover of $22.2 billion, $7.6 billion are imports. This gives a positive balance of $14.6 billion. 81.8% of trade operations were realized with Italy, France, Russia, USA, Turkey, Ukraine, Germany, Malaysia, Indonesia, Israel, Malaysia, Korea, Belarus, China and Georgia.
Azerbaijan held export-import operations with 147 states worth $27.9 billion in 2010. Azerbaijan exported goods worth $21.3 billion, which was 76.4% of trade turnover, imported - $6.6 billion (23.6%). Trade turnover increased by 34.1%, compared with 2009, including export – by 45.1%, import – by 7.8%. Export exceeded import 3.2-fold with a positive balance of $14.7 billion. Most operations were realized with Italy, France, Russia, Israel, USA, Ukraine, Turkey, China, Croatia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Germany.
