Vera Kobalia: Free trade agreement with the EU is very important for Georgia

Georgian Economy Minister Vera Kobalia believes it is important for the Georgian peasants and farmers to have free-trade agreements with the EU, reports Business Georgia. As she said in an interview with reporters, after Georgia reaches the agreement with the EU on free trade, the export of Georgian products to the countries of the eurozone will increase.
"Today, Europe buys 22 percent of our products. This agreement will be very important for our farmers and peasants. They will have the opportunity to bring their products to the European market ", said the Minister.
The negotiations between Georgia and the EU on free trade started today, as a part of the visit of Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri in Brussels.
