US defense secretary to discuss NATO anti-missile project in Turkey

The main topics for discussion of US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta in Ankara are the NATO anti-missile systems in Turkey, the situation in Iran, Syria and Afghanistan, combating terrorism, 1news.az reports.

  Panetta will arrive in Turkey after a visit to Afghanistan. He will meet Turkish Minister for National Security Ismet Yilmaz, President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Ankara will present its expectations on improving bilateral cooperation against terrorism to the US. Panetta may also raise talks on Turkish-Israeli relations.
