Four presidential candidates to run in Turkmen polls

In the upcoming presidential elections in Turkmenistan, head of state Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will compete with three more candidates, Turkmen television reports.

The candidates are the deputy governor (chief of staff) of the Dashoguz area, Minister of Agriculture Recep Bazarov, deputy chairman of the State Service for Sea and River Transport Rozygeldy Rozyguleva and governor of Halachsky district Muratgeldy Dzhumageldyevf, RIA Novosti reports.

The elections will take place on 12 February, 2012.
