Muslim holy days declared public holidays in Bashkortostan

Muslim holy days were officially declared public holidays in the Russian republic of Bashkortostan, Russian media report on Wednesday.

The Russian Supreme Court decided the measure doesn't contradict the Russian Constitution, which states that that the Russian Federation is a secular state.
