Political reforms impossible without efficient parliament - expert

Political reforms urged by President Dmitry Medvedev are impossible without an efficient parliament, head of the Political Science Association Professor Oksana Gaman-Golutvina believes.

Such reforms are indeed necessary, as the authorities simply don't understand the processes unfolding in the country.

Professor Gaman-Golutvina also stressed the point that no specific measures were proposed.

"I think no one is against such reforms, but I don't understand what the specific steps in this direction will be," the expert says.
