Azerbaijani president observes Russian helicopters

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has observed new helicopters delivered from Russia, 1news.az reports.


General-Lieutenant Elchin Guliyev, Commander of the Border Troops and head of the State Border Service, reported to Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev about the new vehicles.


The Mi-35M is one of the world’s most advanced helicopters. It can fly at high altitude. Its crew consists of a pilot-commander and an operator. Up to 10 people may be involved in an airborne operation. The helicopters are equipped with S-8 and S-13 missiles, a GSh-23 machine gun and guided Shturm and Ataka missiles. The aircraft have advanced avionics, operating under any weather conditions, disarming any targets within a radius of 360 degrees.
