Iran publishes census data

The iranian Statistical Committee has published data on last year's census, TRT reports.

According to the latest information, the population of Iran totals 75 million. The population dropped from 1.6% to 1.3%. 51% of the population are males, 49% - females. Agricultural population dropped to 29%. The literacy rate increased to 91%. The Iranian Statistical Committee says that the population may total 80 million by 2017.
