Export duty on Russian oil fell more than 2% since 2012

Russia's oil export duty has fallen 2.2%, from $406.60 to $397.50 a ton, since the 1st of January 2012, Interfax reports.

Duty on light and heavy oil cost $262.30 a ton (in December, it cost $268.30).

The Government has approved a new scheme for calculating export duties on oil products, which is valid from the 1st of October, in accordance with which the bottom line in the calculation of rates of duty on crude oil decreased from 65% to 60%. The duty on diesel fuel remained at 66%.
