Turkish foreign minister arrives in Tehran for talks

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu have met in Tehran, 1news.az reports.


The sides discuss issues of bilateral interest, including the Iranian nuclear program and the developments in the Middle East.


Tensions sstill exist between Ankara and Tehran. Some Iranian officials and military condemn Turkey for permitting NATO to set up a radar. Iran believes that the anti-missile shield in Turkey is for the protection of Israel. General-Brigadier Masoud Jazayeri, deputy head of the United Committee of heads of Command Staffs of Iran, threatened to launch missiles at Turkey.
